Apartment Review for Villas On The Guadalupe - Austin, TX

Parking was horrible. If you live there plan on being towed at one point... driving 40 minutes south of Austin and paying $250 just to get it out. Resident parking was horrible and when I had guest they were constantly being towed. When you think you are parking in the correct area your not. I had many of my guest towed. If you live there plan on having some sort of damage done to your car. The parking garage is also one of the worst designed parking garages. The parking spots are so small, a small compact car barely fits, so if you have a truck/SVU plan on struggling to park every time you are looking for a spot. There were so many issues besides just parking. NOT WORTH IT! As far as the apartment goes, the walls are thin as paper along with the ceiling, if you are not lucky enough to live on the top floor, be sure to get some BOSE noise-canceling headphones because you will be hearing every footstep the people above you make. The management was also lazy at times, when I'd ask for paper work they would tell me they couldn't get it to me at that moment and I would have to constantly check back. And if you plan on going home for the summer, plan on paying about $500 worth of fees(for paperwork) for having someone sublet and stay in your place. And as far as your deposit goes, forget about ever getting it back when you move out. Apparently vacuuming and cleaning the counters costs about $400 according to the Villas, who knew? Bottom line, do not live here, there are plenty of other apartment complexes with the same amenities as this one that are a couple of hundred dollars cheaper and have better management along with better parking.
