Overpriced and Pest Problems
Review Date: 7/19/2004 Reviewer: Rosamaria80
University Gardens has one thing going for it- location. Otherwise, we experienced extreme roach problems in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and a break-in with one of our cars. Also, our air conditioning worked intermittently. It was old and ran all the time, leaving us with a $90 electric bill, even though it was off half the month. Management tried to fix it three times but refused to replace the unit. Otherwise, aside from the vomit in the hallways (happened twice), we really enjoyed the downtown location. One additional issue was that it proved impossible to have two cars while living here because of the proximity to campus. There were many vancant units and no sense of community because people are staring to move away from UG. I would suggest living a little farther away from campus in a nicer complex to anyone who was considering living at University Gardens. |
