Apartment Review for The Block - Austin, TX

Been here since August 08 and being first semester down here was looking forward to staying in a nice place which we got a good deal on for waiting until July to sign. Currently have a hole in the wall which was torn down to fix a cracked pipe which poored water into my bathroom, called management to ask why no on has come in to fix but resident services told me "we don't communicate with maintenance directly, we just put orders in." A joke. Another thing is the "free" internet here, which doesn't work most of the time, another joke. Also, if you have a problem dont expect them to be quick to fix. The entire apartment garages flooded because of their security system failure which shut down the elevator and took them almost 3 months to fix, not because it was a huge job but because they didn't want to pay for it (talked to the elevator repair man who checks their systems monthly). Honestly, the only thing this place has is its great looks and the parking is nice, but don't expect much else.. I'm really disappointed considering I expected alot more from this place.
