Apartment Review for Statton Park Rental Condominiums - Austin, TX

I have lived in many apartments in the past 8+ years and by far this is the best with one huge problem: noise. I have the feeling the building does not respect the noise code for buildings. I can hear my neighbors pee at night. When someone walks too hard then the nose seems to be amplified instead of being attenuated as any good building should do. None of the other 4 places I lived before had this issue. My assumption is that the ceilings/floors are hollow inside instead of having a required layer of noise insulation. Other than that this is a very good place if you have a family with kids in school. We lived before in Eanes School district and it was terrible. Statton Park belongs to very good schools, part of Round Rock ISD: * Laurel Mountain Elementary School * Canyon Vista Middle School * Westwood High School If you can put up with the noise then it is worthy to sacrifice yourself for your kids, if you are like me and you cannot sleep if your neighbors walk a lot and very noisy after 10:00 PM then you better find another place. Last but not least they increased the rent too much, over $1,000 for 2 bedrooms and that was after they spent a lot of money building useless stuff like water fountains and concrete walking path instead of leaving it as it was which was very fun for kids.
