Apartment Review
Long time resident fed up.
Review Date: 10/1/2006 Reviewer: Anonymous
I moved into this community in 2000. I have lived in 3 different units, ranging from the townhome, 2 bed 2 bath, and 2 bed 1 bath. The entire property is on a landfil. Which I was never told about it till after I had been here for over a year. It was ok, I guess... I couldnt tell till they told me. I wondered why there was a methane detector in my appartment. When I first moved in the management people were good folks and generally helpful and the community was not bad. The maintaince was very good. I has become progressivly worse and worse over the years. The property is now owned by Tarantino properties. When I first moved into the town home, it was ok... Both bathrooms were upstairs, so that was an inconvience. The upstairs was poorly constructed as the entire 2nd floor slanted towards the south. I live in the 2bed 2bath and its ok, the kitchen is quite an inconvience, you cant wrinse dishes and load the diswasher at the same time. You have to wrinse, stage them down on the end of the counter, then open and load the dishwasher. A few years ago there was a murder suicide at one of the swimming pools(x-BF killed x-GF and new BF then killed himself). All 3 were found in the swimming pool. I have not been swimming since then. There are alot of problems with people driving thru the complex with loud booming stereos ALL TIMES of the night. There is also a LONG grate that CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK because people drive very fast thru here over top of that grate. It has woke me up countless times at night. My car was broken into in 2004 and the raido and tools were stolen out of it. I have witnessed my neighboors peeing in the parking lot, on several occasions, during their parties. I reported this yet nothing happens to these people... I dont get it. Recently I was unable to get my car registration it was 2 months expired.. I know thats bad I just couldnt afford it and was doing my best to make ends meet. My girlfriend moved down here from Oregon and drove her car which has oregon plates on it. On a Friday management people put a orange tag on both our cars. Mine for the expired registration and hers for having out of state plate. The management dosnt keep a database of what appartment is with what cars. FYI:Both our cars license plates were on the lease. I didnt think much of the tags because I have never been taged before I just scraped them off. Well come Tuesday(4 days later), I get home from work and they have towed BOTH cars. I couldnt belive it! It cost me roughly 600 dollars to get the cars from the towing company. This place gave me such a hardship. There was NO letter from management, NO phone call, NO offical notice, other then the orange tag. They just screwed over a long time resident for what a out of state plate and 2 month expired registration tag? The management people dont care about their residents. They constantly raise the rent... why? I have never been late on rent, never had any complaints about me. I deal with all the inconsiderate neighboors and this is what I get. Well im out of here. |
