Apartment Review
Resident for over a Year

I've lived at The Retreat for over a year and like most places it has both the good and the bad. The good is that the apartments are fairly large, the layout of the complex is attractive, and I've never had any problems with neighbors. The bad is that there is no real management of the property (examples: its taken the whole time I've lived there to get the exterior of the buildings repainted, they don't manage either the pet or trash issues, when you have a maintenance request you'd better ask at least twice), the local amenities are non-existent, and the utilities are high which means either the building insulation is poor or the mechanics are sub par. Having said all of that I would give the complex a solid C+ overall. I've live in a number of other apartments and they all have drawbacks unless you want to pay a high premium to live in one that's less than five years old. After five years they all seem to give up on service and maintenance. |
