Apartment Review for Park Avenue Place Apartments - Austin, TX

I have lived in many apartment complexes around Austin and have had my share of problems with management not fixing repairs, rude managers, etc. However, I did not think it was possible to live under the conditions I was subjected to in this hell hole. While the location is very nice, this is the only upside. The management is two-face, rude and cheap, the parking is not guaranteed, the Free Cable and Internet advertised is stolen knowingly by the management (and who knows how long that will last...so don't let that be your deciding factor), and the upkeep up the apartments is almost non-existant. When moving into my room, I found the place not ready for my arrival. In addition, there were infestations of rodents, broken plumbing and numerous other problems that the management refused to fix. When any problems are brought to the management's attention, they react with hostility and claim you are at fault. I have heard many people yelling back at the management, although I am not the confrontational type of person myself. The owner of the apartments is mentally unstable in my unprofessional opinion. She seems to only care about spending as little money as possible and yelling at whoever she doesn't like (which is everyone). She is not professional by any means and seems to have only decided to run an apartment complex because she thought it would be "fun." What do you expect from Westlake soccer moms anyway' They don't know how to run an apartment complex. She needs to go back to shopping and spending her husband's money. Do not expect to get any deposits back as they are uncooperative and want to keep as much money as possible. I am even aware of people who have taken them to court, won the case and STILL NOT RECEIVED any money due to them BY LAW. The management has no respect for other people, the law or any code of ethics prescribed to by sane people. If you are a student or work, you have enough stress in your life. Don't allow this management to triple that and take away your sanity at the same time. RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN!
