Apartment Review for Metropolis Apartments - Austin, TX

My friends looked at me funny when I told them that I lived in the purple building. Positives: unique and they let you paint your apt. Negatives: Almost everything else. Management changed about 4 times in the year and a half I was there. They were always rude, didn't have a clue, and contridicted one another on apt policies, etc. My car and many others were vandalized. Parking spaces are so close together that you can't get out without denting the car next to yours (and yours getting dented as well). If you try parking there after midnight, you won't find a spot anywhere in the vacinity of your apt. Paper thin walls. sketchy neighbors. pleasant valley is very loud. loud courtyards all nights of the week. firecrackers at 3am were a regular occurance. my friend was threatened with a gun when he went out to investigate disturbing noises coming from the courtyard in the middle of the night. security gates don't make a difference when they rent to the people they are supposed to be working to keep out. fire in the laundry room that destroyed everything and took forever to reopen. they can't get anyone to stay so they've started offering cruises and digital toys...don't fall for it....this place is crap.
