Apartment Review for Melroy Apartments - Austin, TX

This was a last choice for me and I deeply regret it. First off, the exterior is plain, ugly, and unfriendly. Very little thought went into the planning as the roof water pours right onto the stairs (stupid). My unit's electricity frequently shorted out when the over was on and took a manual restart to get it back on. no dishwasher, no central air or heating (in fact, the heating on the unit they supply doesn't work unless you enjoy having the fire alarm go off when it's on). No management on site unless somebody dies (im not kidding) and your neighbors love techno music from 3am-11am so if your not big on sleep this is the place for you. neighbors don't say hello. they are raising the rent on it every year. they charge you $100 out of your large security deposit to clean the ceiling fan or vacuum the carpet (which is crappy and sheds incredibly). STAY AWAY AT ALL COST
