Apartment Review for Longhorn Station Apartments - Austin, TX

I lived here for about 6 months, and would've posted this review then had i found this site, but alas, this is about a year later, but judging from the other reviews dated in 2006, it hasnt changed at all. The management was absolutely horrible, and lied to my roommate and i on several occassions about prices, amenities, safety, the gates getting "fixed" etc. The gates were broken the entire time i lived there, there was an insane amount of noise, groups of men just hanging out in the parking lots by the pedestrian gates that would stare at my roomie and i, and yell at us in spanish. I know i heard "punta" on probably every occasion. I also had multiple issues with the maintenance crews, every time we had an issue we had to ask repeatedly, even going to far as to submit multiple notes to the leasing office (and had them signed and photocopied for proof that we said something) and even so had a broken dishwasher containing stagnant water for about 2 weeks. We had to get a lawyer to write to the complex saying we would break lease unless it was fixed for them to do anything about it. This place should be condemned, and i wouldn't recommend anyone ever living here, especially girls by themselves.
