Apartment Review for Cunningham Apartments - Austin, TX

I have never regretted moving into an apartment this much. Within two months, I have had my car vandalized, water destroy furniture and property, and had to deal with lots of noise from bass in other apartments. There was evident water damage on the windows when we looked at it, and we were promised that it would be fixed completely before we came back. We were pretty foolish to fall for that. The first time it rained, water poured in from two windows, and got all over the place. We naturally put in a written notice for repairs. Two weeks later, no repairs, and it rains again, this time soaking the carpet, and our bedding. Water was literally pouring out of the walls, due to a bad patch job that left channels for it so soak out. It broke out of the paint, and waterfalled into the living room, right onto our couch. Everything was soaked with filthy water, and I seriously suspect I'm going to see mold very soon. There are also serious issues with theft and vandalism here. My car just had the back window entirely smashed out, which is going to cost me $500 with my full coverage insurance. The deputy said he's out here all the time for slashed tires, and burgled vehicles. The damage done to my car was clearly intentional, because it was hit in several places.I've also heard about much worse crimes here too, but I don't know how genuine they are. There are a lot of shady people living in the complex though, so I don't doubt it. The main staff are nice enough, but there's not a lot they can do. The apartment manager is never in, and when I have had the misfortune to speak to her, she was very rude. To be honest, I could name a dozen more things that are wrong with this place, but I want to be somewhat fair.
