Apartment Review for Barrington At Parkplace - Austin, TX

This place is a shit hole. Do not live here. The management sucks. They don't care about their tenants. If only I could give this a zero-star rating. The day I moved in, the apartment already had a bug problem, a broken window, a broken dryer and a leaky tub that was not fixed for a week. Too bad every time I have had to call maintenance (which is often) it takes at least three calls before anyone will come out. Our air conditioner was broken all summer (summer, you know, that hellishly hot season here in Texas) because the maintenance guy they kept sending out was a moron who did a half-ass job. When I would call back to tell them it was STILL not fixed, they acted like I was crazy. You know what's crazy? Hiring idiots who can't fix things to be on your maintenance staff! Oh, and did I mention the quality people who live here? Every neighbor I've had has either had frequent loud parties, blared their music all day and all night long, or stayed out on their balcony yelling till 3am. Not that the management has ever been effective in dealing with those issues either. And besides the other residents, this apartment complex is also full of random homeless people and creepy weirdos who wander through the parking lot and try to mug you in the middle of the night. So, to sum up: DON'T LIVE HERE. Please, please, please don't live here. It makes me sad to think anyone else might suffer through the torturous hell that is the Barrington.
