Apartment Review for Argosy Apartments - Austin, TX

The apartment has been ok, up until we decided to leave. We did not give 60 days notice as specified in the lease (in part our fault) because we were not given a copy of our lease when we signed and the form you must fill out to give written notice of termination of a lease REQUIRES that you have a forwarding address and phone number. Once we had that we did give our form in approximately 40 days early. Now we may be stuck paying the rest. I know this is partly our fault, but being international students unaware of how heavily all of Texas law is slanted toward the business owner rather than individuals, we were trusted those in the main office with the friendly Texas drawl. I would not recommend living at Argosy. Find a private owner with whom you can develop a real relationship rather than one conjoured to lull you into complacency.
