Apartment Review for Argosy Apartments - Austin, TX

Asst Mgr, Anna, is pleasant and helpful. Mgr, Linda, needs to be fired. The lease is ironclad and not in the residents favor. Much of it is not explained to the tenant before signing it. You must give 60 days notice in writing.... before your lease is to terminate. Keep copies for your protection. You will most likely be stuck with paying out the lease if the place isn't rented out immediately. There is no parking! If a friend comes to visit you and parks in the wrong place, you stand a good chance of having to shell out $100.00 for towing fees (tow yard is on the back side of the new airport). There are NO water faucets so you can rinse out your kitty pan outside and no place where you can rinse the dust off your car after the landscapers blow dirt all over it with their abundant leaf blowers. Dust comes into my apartment like it is being pumped in somehow. Changing filters every month doesnt seem to help either. If you have allergies, STAY AWAY. My electric bill is unbelievable! There must be no insulation in anything. There is NO WATER PRESSURE if you like brisk stinging showers? My wallpaper is stained with something the last tenant slung all over it. They said they would paint over it in July......it is now September and nothing has happened. My bedroom has no light fixture in the ceiling. It has a wall switch for one which DOES NOT operate any of the other wall plugs. Don't sign a lease till they put in a light fixture for you. My balconey has boards coming up on the floor. I nail them back down and they come right back up. I expect to fall through and break my neck any day now. I'm moving because of the dust thing. Love the location. Nice neighborhood.
