Apartment Review for Anderson Mill Oaks Apartments - Austin, TX

These apartments are horrible, and the management is even worse! My roommates and I lived in the Anderson Mill Apartments for 6 months and it was literally like living in hell. The neighborhood around these apartments is very nice, but don’t be fooled these apartments are the worst! The whole time I lived there we had mold growing in our ceiling and carpet due to a leak in the roof. When we notified management they said they would take care of it right away, then 3 weeks went by and they did nothing! We had to call them 4 or 5 times before they finally sent someone over to look at the roof. When they finally did come all they did was cut out a little piece of the ceiling then put plaster over it, they did nothing to the carpets. Every time we would call to check how much rent we owed that month the number would change depending on the person in the office you talked to. The grounds are gross and un-kept and there are always drug dealers and thugs hanging around. You have to watch your property very closely. When we moved in the carpets appeared clean, not new but “clean” but after living there for a few months we noticed stains starting to come up out of no where. I guess they just cover them up when you move in. Also none of the interior doors in our apartment locked right which made it bad when you had people over and needed to use the bathroom. Oh yeah and we never had a fire extinguisher in our unit the whole time we were there. When we moved out management decided to charge us for every little thing, including the carpet which had mold growing in when we moved in! Management at Anderson Mill is horrible and they do not care at all about their tenants or their safety. I will never rent here again, and I would not recommend these apartments to anyone!
