Apartment Review for Alexan City Lights - Austin, TX

This is a brand new apt community with very nice apts--crown molding, fake hard wood floors and marble counters, nice carpet etc. Great pool-- parking was fine in my building--although people complain in the front buildings. while i was there 2 cars were stolen and 2 blown up and sat there with glass everywhere for 2 weeks. the security gate did not always work, toilets leaked and caused high water bills, and some college type neighbors didn't know how to keep the volume down. i expected most of the issues, but the worst, worst , worst part was management. especially kimberly braddock, the apt mamager. make sure if you live here to get everthing you send to them acknowleged and "approved". i am being charged $1700- two months rent- because they did not get my 60 day notice although i gave it to them 3 different ways! protect yourself and don't expect the staff to help with anything. i should have known better because the day i moved in they were "resurfacing the parking lot" black gunk everywhere. they didn't tell me this, so i had to pay the movers an extra $200 to go around the mess! aaahhhhh!!!!
