Apartment Review
Courtyard OK, efficiencies suck
Review Date: 4/21/2004 Reviewer: Soggy1
The efficiency apartments at 2020 are closets. I can sit on the couch and turn on my tv (no remote.) The apartments aren't very noise proof, and the hallways are interior, so it feels like a dorm. Yep. Like a dorm, but include the ever pervasive smell of weed in the dingy hallway and the crying of babies (or dogs... or both) and the thump of techno or early grunge. The residents may be nice, but living in a closet within an interior corridor makes people into less than perfect neighbors. There is trash at the ends of the hallways and frequent half spilled beers around. In the summer, the scream of little kids starts in the pool at 9 a.m. and extends until dark. It is very gay-friendly, which is a plus or negative based on your beliefs. Take that for what you will. The location is great, but the price is silly for the efficiency closets. Car break ins make it less than ideal as well (but those were solved and most likely better). Overall, unless you are a recently divorced or single person, with an affinity for dingy, dark places, stay away. Say hello to the vagrants if you lease. Enjoy. |
