| This is the worst place I have ever lived. Ever.
It was fine when we first moved in. But a month after we moved in, a new management company took over. The complex deteriorated rapidly from there, as the new company let anyone (literally) rent an apartment there. Fights and police being called out became almost a daily occurrence. A ceiling fan fell on us as we were sleeping because they didn't install it properly. Our car was stolen out of the parking lot, despite the "security gates" which never worked. Broken windows, decaying walls, and fences falling down (or being destroyed by the lovely neighborhood delinquents) became pretty common sights. Parking was great if you lived there, but heaven forbid you invite friends over, because there were maybe 10 visitor spaces in the entire complex, most of them usually occupied by vehicles belonging to the 8 to 10 people living in half of the two bedroom apartments. The towing company would tow your car for the slightest provocation, too. This is also one of the worst crime neighborhoods in Austin. In short, if you want to live in a place that's dangerous, poorly maintained, and where English is a foreign language, move here. |
